Disney released their new Disney Genie Service on October 19, 2021. Take a look below for more information and all the details about this innovative new feature to help plan your Walt Disney World vacation.
What is Disney Genie?
Disney Genie is a new service built into Disney's existing My Disney Experience app. Check out the short video below for a quick overview.
So what does Disney Genie do?
Disney Genie allows you to customize your Walt Disney World vacation according to what your party is interested in. From within the My Disney Experience app, Disney Genie allows you select your favorite attractions, restaurants, entertainment, characters, and immersive experiences like villains, thrill rides, and more.
After making your favorite selections, Disney Genie will create a custom itinerary just for you that will map out your day all while continually updating your plans on the go. Disney Genie will even remind you when its time to make your dining reservations or additional activities.
How to prepare for Disney Genie?
Start by downloading the latest version of the My Disney Experience app now so you can take advantage of the following features:
Tailored Recommendations: After telling Disney Genie all of your favorite attractions and restaurants, you'll receive personalized recommendations. Disney Genie will even recommend the best time to head over to an attraction and what the forecasted wait is. If you change your mind on a selection its no big deal to swap it out with another selection. Disney Genie continues to make personalized suggestions throughout your Disney day.
Personalized Disney Itinerary: The "My Day" tab is your landing spot to find all of your Disney Genie recommendations and even dining reservations, Disney hotel reservations, and any activity bookings. You'll be able to virtually chat with a Cast Member to answer any questions you may have during your trip.
Custom Tip Board: This features show you estimated wait times for your selected attractions, restaurants, and entertainment. You're also able to make dining reservations, check into a restaurant, or even order food. If an attraction has a virtual queue, you can request to join or book arrival times for your Lightning Lane attractions if you've purchased Disney Genie+.
Disney Genie+
Take your Disney trip to the next level by upgrading to Disney Genie+ service. You'll receive all of the great features from Disney Genie service in addition to added convenience and flexibility, all for $15 per ticket per day.
What does Disney Genie+ service offer?
You'll spend less time waiting in line at more than 40 attractions and experiences across Walt Disney World parks by purchasing Disney Genie+ service. From the Disney Genie+ service, you'll be able to select arrival windows for the new Lightning Lane entrances; one selection at a time throughout your entire Disney day - even across multiple parks if you've purchased Park Hopper passes.
You can select your first arrival window beginning at 7:00am on the day of your visit.

Disney PhotoPass Lenses: Explore magical, augmented reality effects with special Disney PhotoPass Lenses from your mobile phone.
Audio Tales: Enjoy listening to fun new fascinating facts and behind-the-scenes insights across the parks and specific locations.
You'll be able to purchase Disney Genie+ beginning October 19, 2021 on the day of your visit as an add-on purchase, or add it to your existing theme park ticket prior to your arrival.
Guests are responsible for determining whether options and recommendations are appropriate for their party and for consulting all experience restrictions and advisories, including height requirements, health and safety advisories and accessibility guidelines.
Lightning Lane Entrances
There are two new options to enjoy Disney's new Lightning Lane Entrances across all 4 Disney parks.
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections
By purchasing Disney Genie+, you'll have access to more than 40 Lightning Lane entrances across all 4 parks, one at a time, throughout your Disney day.
Price: Disney Genie+ service will be available for $15 per Guest per day.
How to Purchase:
Before Your Visit: Available as an add-on to a ticket or vacation package for the duration of visit.
Same Day of Visit: Available for single-day use for existing ticket holders or Annual Passholders. Purchase via Disney Genie service in the My Disney Experience app.
When to Select Attractions: Once you have Disney Genie+ service, you can book your first arrival window via the My Disney Experience app beginning at 7:00am on the day of your visit. Once you’ve redeemed your initial selection (or the arrival window has passed), you can make another selection using the app, up to park closing.
Individual Lightning Lane Selections
For some of the most popular attractions, you can purchase individual Lightning Lane entrances, one at a time, up to 2 attractions per day. These attractions are not included in Disney Genie+ service and can be purchased by any Guest, with or without Disney Genie+ service.
Price: Pricing and availability will vary by date, attraction and park. Check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for current prices and attraction availability.
How to Purchase Purchase via Disney Genie service in the My Disney Experience mobile app on the same day of your visit.
When to Select Attractions You can purchase individual selections for up to 2 different attractions per day.
Guests of a Disney Resort Hotel and Other Select Hotels: These Guests can make their first purchase starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit. Available to Disney Resort hotel Guests and Guests of Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green.
All Other Guests: These Guests can make their first purchase when the park opens.
